Multifloor Facility Layout Optimization Software is a decision-support tool designed for the optimal placement of departments across multiple floors in industrial and manufacturing facilities. This software aims to minimize material handling cost by using advanced algorithms like Simulated Annealing, combined with user-defined layout configurations such as aisle width, vertical distances between floors, and departmental flow data. It supports visual layout generation, interactive customizations, and real-time cost evaluation, making it suitable for use in academic research, industrial layout planning, and teaching-learning environments.

This software was developed by Irshad Ibrahim (M231051ME), Postgraduate student in Industrial Engineering and Management, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Calicut, under the guidance of Dr. V. Madhusudanan Pillai, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Calicut.
